Slowly, the werewolf turned back to her and dropped on all fours. Snarling hungrily, she crept toward Sonya, ears laid flat against her massive head, deadly fangs bared and salivating terribly. Sonya swallowed nervously, her eyes widening as the werewolf slowly advanced toward her.
As the behemoth neared her, Sonya began to feel something she hadn’t felt in seven years, not since she went on her first werewolf hunt with her father when she was twelve: she felt fear. The werewolf bared her teeth into a gleeful smile, sensing Sonya’s fear. She stopped before her and crouched low as she and Sonya circled each other.
Sonya fiercely pushed her fear aside and unsheathed Gabriel fiercely, spinning it around in a circle by her side in preparation. Pointing her sword at the werewolf, she said bravely and with much hatred, “I’ve been looking for you.”
The werewolf growled in agreement, as if to say, “And I you,” and snapped her jaws, saliva flying at the sudden movement.
